Just in time for National Volunteer Week, Catchafire is turning 2 years old!


In just two years, we've grown from a one-woman show to 11 full-time staff, serving over 1,000 social good organizations in the Greater NYC area and a talent database of over 5,000 highly skilled pro bono professionals. To date, our professionals have contributed over $2 million in services to social good organizations.

What: Catchafire's 2nd Birthday Bash!

Photography by Garret Ewald: After a 15+ year career in photojournalism, Garrett completed an MBA and worked for IBM for 8 years. Since 2009, he has been working on a variety of start-ups, including the 1 Life, 1,000 Words Foundation, a nonprofit bringing families together with photojournalists. In addition to photography for clients like Better Homes and Gardens and Landmark Publications, he has also returned to developing websites for organizations and small businesses, and video production. This is his first Catchafire project.
